Facts & Figures: SAIL Students Excel!
Students who choose to join SAIL are proactive! They seek every possible opportunity to enhance their success, and their effort and commitment are reflected in their achievement:
- SAILís persistence rate (fall 2013 to fall 2014) was 93%.
- 54.3% of SAILís active students qualified for the programís Spring Quarter 2015 Honor Roll by having earned a quarter grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. (Eleven students had a GPA of 4.0.)
- At the end of Spring Quarter 2015, 50% of SAILís participants had achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above for all coursework undertaken in college, and the average cumulative GPA was 2.994.
- SAIL's average six-year graduation rate for first-time freshmen (2000-01 through 2008-09 cohorts) is 53.8%, exceeding that for the campus as a whole.
Each year, SAIL achievers are honored at the program's Student Recognition Reception held in May. The SAIL staff is proud to showcase their many accomplishments!
SAILís Pre-Application Form is now available on SAILís website! After completing the Pre-Application Form, students will be contacted in 5-10 business days informing them of their eligibility. If the student is eligible to join SAIL, they will be invited to come to the SAIL Office during SAILís open enrollment period to complete the hard copy New Student Application and be given information regarding how to sign-up for the mandatory New Student Orientation on Saturday, October 1st, 2016.
SAILís open enrollment period for the 2016-17 academic year for eligible new students will begin August 1, 2016 and end on September 30, 2016. Interested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible during the open enrollment period as slots fill up quickly. After that time, eligible students are admitted through referrals from departments or faculty on a space-available basis only.
